Well…. the cold winds are coming in! The Farmer’s Almanac is calling for more snow and colder temps this year. So unpack your winter things and be ready. Thankfully, we had a successful Service Auction!!! We should have a total soon. Much gratitude goes out to the Finance Committee. Hal Yocum and his co-horts: Kay Lentz, Liz Duncan, Betty Rasmussen, Kathleen Joslin, Linda Christian and our poet laureate. Eva Mahoney all did a great job. We’re so glad we got to celebrate Channing’s 40th year as a chapter of the UUA. Special thank you to Betty Rasmussen who co-started Channing. Without you, Betty, life would never be the same. We are grateful for the efforts of Hal Yocum and others who made it possible to repair the fence near the horses. So much is done by our members. It won’t be long and we’ll be into the Holiday season. Mark your calendars for our Dirty Santa Holiday Party which will be on December 15th. Our Congregational meeting is on December 10th or 17th (to be decided soon). The Dirty Santa is a lot of fun so plan to attend. You’ll need to bring a wrapped gift valued at $15 in order to participate. We’ll have a festive potluck. Of course more info will follow in the Channing Happenings. As we approach the Holiday season, well wishes and safety to all. ~ Michelle and Sharon
